There is concern for their future due to the gradual destruction of their rainforest habitat where land is cleared for crops and livestock pastures. This butterfly brooch celebrates the beauty of the Morpho without threatening their existence or causing them harm.

The brooch is made from layers of fabric, embroidered and painted to achieve colour and exquisite detail. It would look fabulous adorning a dress, jacket or jumper, trimming a hat, or adding a bright splash to your home décor on cushions or curtains.

The reverse of the box has information about the butterfly and the brooch is held in the box with a tiny magnet, which makes a lovely display.
